Michael Andretti turned a fast lap of 94.210 m.p.h. and won the provisional pole for Sunday’s Indy car race in Vancouver, Canada. Rick Mears was third at 93.204, followed by Penske teammates Danny Sullivan, 93.180, and Emerson Fittipaldi, 92.982.
