Christiecat Wins Noble Damsel

ELMONT, N.Y. — Christiecat, ridden by Eddie Maple, took advantage of being allowed to set a slow early pace to prevail by a head over Aldbourne in Friday’s $90,150 Noble Damsel Stakes at Belmont Park.
Christiecat strolled though the opening quarter in 25 4/5 on the way to a time of 1:43 2/5 over 1 1/16 miles of turf.
The victory was the second in a row and fifth in 11 starts this year for Christiecat, who earned $54,090 and returned $9.80, $6.20 and $4.20.
