Colton’s Faria Wins Scratch Main Event

Mike Faria of Colton won the four-lap scratch main event in the weekly speedway program Friday at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa.

Alan Christian of Murrieta was second, Josh Larson of Costa Mesa was third and Steve Lucero of Riverside fourth.

Charlie Venegas of Vallejo won the eight-lap handicap main event. Shawn McConnell of Brea was second, Christian was third, Larson was fourth and Mike Buff of Torrance was fifth.
