UC Berkeley mourned three young students who died in an unexplained, fast-moving fire that destroyed the Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity house. Ryan Hamilton, 19, of Sacramento was identified as a victim of the $2-million fire early Saturday in the four-story privately owned building. No positive identification has been made on two badly charred bodies, but Robert D. Sciutto, 21, a junior from Lafayette, and sophomore Natalia A. James, 19, of Portola Valley were reported missing, campus spokesman Tom Debley said. “Campus people have never seen such an outpouring of sympathy,” said Debley. Flags will be flown at half-staff at the 31,000-student institution for a week.
