$3-Million Acquisition: To expand its air-monitoring equipment business, Pacific Scientific Corp. said Monday that it has paid $3 million to acquire High Yield Technology Inc. in Sunnyvale.
High Yield Technology, which reported revenue of $2 million last year, makes systems that monitor the air quality in semiconductor “clean rooms” and other manufacturing sites.
High Yield Technology, which employs 10 people in Sunnyvale, will operate as a subsidiary of a Pacific Scientific division in Silver Spring, Md. High Yield Technology employs 10 people in Sunnyvale.
Pacific Scientific manufactures a wide range of industrial and aerospace products.
