Latshaw Boosts Stake in Paint Firm: Kansas City, Mo., investor John Latshaw said he has increased his stake in Torrance-based Standard Brands Paint Co. to 15% from about 14.2% held last month. Latshaw, who has interests in several other companies, has been gradually increasing his stake in Standard Brands since last year. In his latest Securities and Exchange Commission filing, Latshaw again said he might pursue various options to raise Standard Brands’ share value.
