Hesperia 28, Palmdale 14--Palmdale held a momentary 14-13 third-quarter lead, but Hesperia literally took it away with a third-quarter fumble return for a touchdown.
Palmdale’s Vashon LeCesne had the ball stripped by Hesperia defensive lineman Scott Bunting, who ran the fumble back 70 yards for a touchdown and put Hesperia in the lead for good.
Earlier, three plays after Palmdale’s Kalonji Watts intercepted a Brian Kalk pass in the end zone, Palmdale (1-4) took its 14-13 lead on Rodney Williams’ 91-yard touchdown run.
