Mobil CEO to Testify in Civil Suit: Allen E. Murray has been ordered to testify this week in a lawsuit by former Mobil Oil Corp. environmental officer Valcar Bowman, who says he was fired for refusing to help cover up environmental problems at its Bakersfield plant after the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office raided the company’s Torrance facility. Murray is expected to be questioned about an order to transfer documents from the Bakersfield plant to the company’s outside counsel and about his response to a memo that Bowman sent about company environmental practices.
