Teledyne Inc.: The aviation, electronics and specialty metals concern reported third-quarter income of $9.1 million, down 88% from the same quarter of 1989, on revenue of $846.4 million, off 3% from last year. The profit figure for 1989’s third period included $35.2 million for income of discontinued operations. The Los Angeles-based firm cited strikes at various plants and cost overruns on some defense contracts.
