Murder charges have been filed against a reputed gang member who was arrested in the slaying of a serviceman after photos taken of the suspect by a hidden security camera were broadcast on the news, prosecutors said Friday.
Rickey Moore, 18, was to be arraigned in Torrance Municipal Court on Wednesday on one count of murder, three counts of attempted murder and one count of shooting into an occupied motor vehicle.
Prosecutors said Moore killed Darrell Webb, 20, an Air Force airman, after the victim whistled at the defendant’s girlfriend at the South Bay Bowling alley in Torrance on Sept. 19.
Webb and three of his friends then drove away, but were followed by Moore and his girlfriend. When the two cars pulled up to a light, Moore fatally shot Webb in the chest, prosecutors said.
