Fillmore 7, Santa Clara 0--Fillmore (6-0, 1-0) posted its fourth shutout and Tory Cabral scored every point for the third time this season as the Flashes defeated the defending league champions at Channel Islands High.
Fillmore recovered the second-half kickoff at the Santa Clara 18-yard line and Cabral scored five plays later on a three-yard run. Cabral, who rushed for 169 yards in 29 carries, kicked the extra point.
Santa Clara (1-5, 0-1) drove to the Fillmore 21-yard line, but Shane Woods blocked a field-goal attempt. Steve Clinton had two interceptions for Fillmore.
