Poly 40, Monroe 28--Jonathan Campbell rushed for 222 yards in 22 carries and scored four touchdowns in the Parrots’ victory at Monroe.
Poly (3-2, 1-1) took a 21-6 halftime lead behind the play of Campbell and Jermaine Pledger, who finished with 78 yards in eight carries. Poly opened the scoring with a 33-yard pass from Lance Garcia to Marlon McKinney, who pitched the ball to Mike Vreeland at the 10-yard line.
Monroe (0-3-1, 0-2) cut the lead to 7-6 on a 59-yard run by Sean Bell.
