Tustin Rolls Past University for Sixth Consecutive Victory

IRVINE — Tustin High School won its sixth consecutive game this season with a 27-0 victory over University Friday night in the Sea View League opener for both teams at Irvine High.
Tustin was led by halfback Visko Ancich, who gained 96 yards in 19 carries and scored a touchdown, and Ron Goods, who gained 70 yards in nine carries and scored two touchdowns.
Tustin, Orange County’s third-ranked team, opened the scoring with 7 minutes 49 seconds left in the first quarter on a nine-yard run by Ancich, his ninth touchdown of the year.
With 4:19 left in the second quarter, Tustin defensive back Shad Vickers intercepted a pass by Brian Vail at his own 29-yard line and ran 71 yards for a touchdown and a 14-0 lead.
After a scoreless third quarter, Tustin scored on 13- and 20-yard runs by Goods in the fourth quarter. University fell to 2-4.
