PROTESTS: About 40 Orange County peace activists plan to join Saturday’s nationwide protests against United States intervention in the Mideast, driving up to Los Angeles to attend a larger gathering. . . . Later this month, local activists are planning their own protest program in Anaheim against the “double standard,” says Shirley Cereseto. “We think it’s hypocritical to invade Panama and then turn around and condemn Iraq. . . . We’re opposed to both interventions. . . . We don’t want our men to be killed.”
