‘Total Recall’ Selling for $24.99 : THIS WEEK’S MOVIES

The high-power combination of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Paul Verhoeven (director of the first “RoboCop”) looked as good at the box office this summer as it did on paper, and now “Total Recall” also shapes up as one of the blockbuster videos of the fall. Carolco is offering the R-rated sci-fi action film for a mere $24.99. Among the more noteworthy releases you may have missed during the past two weeks (when this column didn’t appear): “Pretty Woman” (Touchstone, $19.99, R), “The Hunt for Red October” (Paramount, priced for rental, PG), “Stanley & Iris” (MGM/UA, $89.98, PG-13), and “I Love You to Death” (RCA/Columbia, $92.95, R). Added to that list this week, besides “Total Recall,” is the Mickey Rourke-Jacqueline Bisset erotic drama “Wild Orchid” (RCA/ Columbia, priced for rental, in both R and unrated versions).
