The Los Angeles County Health Department Friday vaccinated more than 1,000 students--nearly half the student body--at Cerritos High School where an outbreak of measles has occurred.
Eighteen students at the school, which has an enrollment of 2,200, have contracted the disease since Oct. 13, officials said.
The most serious case involved a 15-year-old boy who was hospitalized for several days after vomiting and losing about 20 pounds, officials said.
