Schurr 48, Burroughs 6--Quarterback Jay Macias completed eight of 16 passes for 142 yards and three touchdowns and ran for a fourth score as the Spartans (6-2-1, 4-0) clinched the league title with an easy win over Burroughs at Montebello High.
Macias’ efforts were complemented by Jun Akiike, who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns in eight carries.
Sophomore Sean McDermott, who scored the only touchdown for Burroughs (2-7, 2-2) on a 15-yard run in the second quarter, finished with 118 yards in 18 carries.
