Pasadena : Raymond Theatre Parking

Gary Folgner, new owner of the Raymond Theatre, will provide parking for his patrons at the nearby city-owned Holly Street parking garage.
A 10-year lease was approved Tuesday by the Board of Directors to provide 270 spaces in the garage from 6:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. with 15 days’ advance notice from Folgner Management Co.
The lease works this way: Folgner advertises that theater patrons should park in the garage, where they are charged a set event rate. At the end of the year, the city bills Folgner for any excess operating costs.
Although the garage is 750 feet from the theater’s front entrance, Folgner was exempted from a city requirement that parking be provided within 200 feet. The historic theater is scheduled to reopen Friday after being closed for four years.
