Deere & Co.: The tractor and industrial machinery concern reported a 28% decline in fourth-quarter net income to $74.5 million because of significantly lower production of lawn-care products and industrial equipment in response to the weaker North American economy. Revenue for the quarter inched up 3% to $2.07 billion. For 1990, the Moline, Ill., firm posted a profit of $411.1 million, up 8% from 1989. Revenue rose 9% to $7.9 billion.
