Comarco’s Contracts: But another local company has had somewhat better luck landing defense contracts.
Comarco Inc., an Anaheim engineering and computer services company, has been awarded four contracts worth more than $12 million.
The contracts are with four different government customers and vary in length from 10 months to five years, Comarco President Don M. Bailey said.
The biggest of the contracts is a $5-million award to provide computer software support to the U.S. Army. The other contracts involve various services for the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Air Force and National Airport in Virginia.
The company also reported that its earnings for the third quarter ended Oct. 21 rose 53% to $458,000 from $299,000 a year earlier. Sales dropped 11% to $16.4 million from $18.5 million.
