Cathy Gainey, wife of Minnesota North Stars Coach Bob Gainey, was listed in stable condition after undergoing surgery to remove a brain tumor. The prognosis and future treatment are pending the analysis of the tissue. Tests will be completed in a few days. Gainey missed Wednesday night’s game in Toronto to stay with his wife.
