Morris Bruce Jones of Palos Verdes has been appointed by Gov. George Deukmejian as a Municipal Court judge for the Compton Judicial District. Jones will replace Judge John H. Leahy, who has been elevated to the Los Angeles Superior Court. Jones was in private law practice from 1982 to the present. He previously served as a Los Angeles County district attorney investigator and was a deputy with the Los Angeles County marshal.
