A Season to Sing and Dance About
Care to crack “The Nutcracker”? Yearn to sing along to Handel’s “Messiah”? Do visions of Scrooge and Daddy Warbucks dance in your head?
A number of major holiday offerings in Southern California begin this weekend. There are at least a dozen “Nutcracker” ballet offerings, in everything from school productions to million-dollar opera-house stagings, along with another dozen “Messiahs” in a variety of versions. And “Annie” and “A Christmas Carol” can be found all over the Southland.
A guide to this season’s fare is on F10.
