Unequal Play in Crash Story

It is not until the sixth paragraph of the Dec. 3 article “2 Families Shattered by Collision on Freeway” that we learn who the victims of the tragic head-on collision on the San Diego Freeway are.
All but one paragraph of the front-page portion of the article focuses on Faith Robinson and her family. This incident is tragic for both families and the article should reflect this.
Certainly the accident left “Robinson’s family distraught and perplexed,” but what about the Ahn family and their surviving children?
Why do I have to dig through the copy on Page 5 to find out anything about them? They were driving in the right direction down the freeway and were struck by a car that had been driving in the wrong direction for 8 miles.
I’m having a hard time feeling sympathy for Robinson, and I don’t understand why The Times is trying to create some for her. This is a tragedy for both families and the victims.
