Authorities are investigating a two-alarm fire they suspect was intentionally set early Saturday at a Lemon Grove pizza parlor.
About 2:25 a.m., firefighters received reports of flames coming from the inside of Domino’s Pizza in the 6900 block of Federal Boulevard, according to a San Diego County sheriff’s dispatcher.
On arriving, they discovered the rear door ajar and flames engulfing the inside of the business.
Investigators think that someone entered the shop after business hours and set it on fire.
Authorities said 36 firefighters and seven engines battled the blaze.
One firefighter was temporarily overcome by smoke but was not hospitalized.
The blaze caused $100,000 in damage to the pizza shop, as well as smoke and water damage to adjacent businesses.
