McCarron on Track for 11th Riding Title at Hollywood Park

Chris McCarron at age 35 continues his strong bid for an 11th riding title at Hollywood Park .

He has won five spring/summer riding titles and five in the fall, but the last one came in the fall of 1985.

McCarron now has 41 winners from 160 mounts, a 26% win percentage. His in-the-money mark is 94 (41-26-27) for 58.7%. Both marks are well ahead of any other rider.

McCarron is the third-leading all-time winning jockey at Hollywood, behind only Bill Shoemaker and Laffit Pincay Jr.

Following McCarron in the standings is Kent Desormeaux, who has 32 wins, 33 second-place finishes and 16 thirds in 177 starts.

In third place is Alex Solis (30-17-24 in 169 starts).
