California IN BRIEF : FRESNO : 2 Youths Deny Guilt in Labor Day Death

Two 17-year-old boys pleaded innocent to charges of murdering one man and injuring nine others in Fresno’s Labor Day shooting rampage. Dwight Tamplin and Jermaine Johnson pleaded innocent to a variety of counts during their Superior Court arraignment. They are accused of taking part in a four-hour shooting and robbery rampage across much of Fresno. Two other suspects, ages 14 and 15, were processed through Juvenile Court, but Tamplin and Johnson will be tried as adults. All four allegedly are members of the Villa Posse gang.
