Valley College’s Art Kirksey was selected men’s basketball player of the week in the Western State Conference. Kirksey, a 6-4 freshman, scored a season-high 27 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and blocked four shots as Valley defeated Santa Barbara, 82-55.
