Hollywood Lends a Hand: KIIS-FM will hold “Hands Across Hollywood” in support of American soldiers in Operation Desert Storm on Wednesday. The assembly will be held at noon at the Hollywood Cineramadome, which will be ringed with a yellow ribbon. The event is not intended as a protest or a pro-war rally, but to let American troops know “that their sacrifice is appreciated and a safe return is hoped for them all,” according to a press release. Five thousand yellow balloons will be released at the event, and a video postcard will be taken to send to the troops.
