More than 1,000 community leaders and volunteers are expected to gather Wednesday for a United Way of Orange County dinner that marks the completion of the 1990-91 fund-raising effort.
A final pledge total will be announced at the dinner, which will start at 7 p.m. at the Anaheim Hilton, 777 Convention Way, Anaheim.
The United Way’s fund-raising goal for the year was $22.5 million, a 9% increase over the 1989 pledge total of $20.9 million.
The United Way provides funding to 118 health and human service organizations in Orange County.
