In other Empire League girls’ soccer:
El Dorado 7, Katella 0--Leslie Marsh had three goals for host El Dorado (14-2-5, 3-1-2).
In the Sunset League:
Edison 3, Huntington Beach 0--Lynne Thiel had two goals and Janell Martin had one for visiting Edison (11-2-6, 4-0-1).
In the Pacific Coast League:
Trabuco Hills 16, Century 0--Kristen Lowrey had three goals and five players each scored two for host Trabuco Hills (11-3-3, 4-0-1). Trabuco Hills’ total was one short of the Orange County record of 17 set by La Quinta against Brea-Olinda in 1984-85.
In Olympic League boys’ basketball:
Valley Christian 66, Whittier Christian 50--Todd Van Otterloo had 26 points for host Valley Christian (13-4, 8-0). Ruben Oronoz had 23 points for Whittier Christian (8-10, 5-3).
