War Art at Highways: War-related installations produced by UCLA graduate students under the tutelage of members of the Canadian/New York-based artists’ collective General Idea go on view tonight at Highways performance space in Santa Monica. The installations feature a reading room with information about topics ranging from the United States and its war policies to Iraqi culture, a ballot-box questionnaire asking war-related questions for people to answer and an advertising campaign on the “New World Order.” The exhibit will be on display until the end of March.
