It’s hard for me to believe that your restaurant reviewer, David Goldman, ate at the same Pierpoint Inn that I enjoy. I’ve been eating excellent meals there for more than 50 years.
No place in the county serves as consistently good food as the inn.
As for the dining room “looking out across six lanes of howling traffic,” the beautiful sea is clearly visible beyond. I’m sure Mr. Goldman couldn’t hear the traffic.
Please, Mr. Goldman, try Pierpoint again. At least you’ll be eating with lots of people who are enjoying their food immensely.
