Three heart specialists at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center have been awarded the fifth annual Theodore E. Cummings Prize for outstanding achievement in the field of cardiovascular disease.
Cardiologists H. J. C. Swan, William Ganz and Eliot Corday will receive the award April 17 at a ceremony at the Westside medical center.
The $25,000 prize--the largest in its field--was established in 1987 by Suzanne Cummings in honor of her late husband, a former U.S. ambassador who also served as chairman of the medical center’s board of directors.
