Pan Am in New Talks With United: Pan Am Corp. Chairman Thomas Plaskett said the airline is talking on a new level with United Airlines--aiming to “strengthen the relationship” between the two companies--but will not sell its key Latin American routes. Pan Am filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in January.
