T-Bill Rates Slide: Interest rates on 52-week Treasury bills fell in auction to the lowest level in seven weeks. The average discount rate was 5.88%, down from 6.06% at the last auction March 7. It was the lowest rate since 52-week bills averaged 5.85% on Feb. 12. The bills will carry an equivalent coupon interest rate of 6.26%, with each $10,000 in face value selling for $9,405.50. Sales totaled $10.81 billion out of bids of $32.68 billion.
