Carl Kinnison; Retired Insurance President

Carl Edward Kinnison, retired president of the former Pacific Auto Insurance Co., has died at his Glendale home. He was 82.
Kinnison died Monday of a heart attack, said his daughter Carlyn Kinnison Djie.
Born in Glenwood Springs, Colo., Kinnison moved to California in the early 1930s.
He started working for Pacific Auto Insurance Co. in Los Angeles in 1939 and retired in 1973 after serving as company president for seven years. After his retirement, Kinnison served on the board of directors of Pacific Auto Insurance Co., which had been acquired earlier by Northwestern National Insurance Co.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Eleanor Kinnison; daughters Carlyn Kinnison Djie of Long Beach and Kathleen Kinnison of Glendale; and three granddaughters.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 1712 S. Glendale Ave. in Glendale. Forest Lawn Mortuary, Glendale, is handling the arrangements.
