Blue Line Disrupted When Truck Hits Pole

Metro Blue Line train service was interrupted in Carson Friday after a truck hit a wooden power pole, posing a “small threat” that wires might fall on the rail line, officials said.
Buses ran a free shuttle service between the Del Amo and Wardlow stations, where the tracks remained closed to passenger service until 7:23 a.m., said Rick Jager, a spokesman for the Southern California Rapid Transit District.
At that time, after officials determined that the lines were “secured” and posed no safety threat, the section of track between the two stations was opened to trains, Jager said.
