Motorcycle Passenger Dies in Crash with Car

A 26-year-old San Diego man was killed Friday when the motorcycle on which he was a passenger collided with a car in La Jolla, throwing him to the pavement, police said.
The dead man’s identity was being withheld pending notification of relatives.
The accident occurred about 5:15 p.m., at Pearl Street and Eads Avenue, police said.
The motorcycle, going east on Pearl Street, collided with a passenger vehicle making a left turn onto Eads Avenue, according to San Diego police, who were investigating.
The passenger had severe head injuries, police said. He was pronounced dead at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla.
The driver of the motorcycle was also hospitalized, but his injuries were not life-threatening, police said.
