Reader Hits Downey With Wrecking Ball

Mike Downey wrote an excellent column on the demise of old Comiskey Park (April 5). Accurate, nostalgic, appropriate and well-written.
Can’t he do this type of sports column more often and leave his windmill-tilting sociological commentaries to the people who write your editorial pages?
I do not need his guidance as to when to be offended by the conduct and/or misconduct of others.
As a sports columnist, however, he does a nice job.
