Daylilies Need to Be Bred for Our Climate
- Share via
Q: My friend’s daylilies seem to bloom off and on all year, while mine bloom only for about one month in the summer. Am I doing something wrong?
A: Yours probably bloom only once because of their breeding. Here in Southern California many new daylilies will rebloom throughout the year if given sufficient care and nutrients. One mail-ordor supplier of daylilies with an excellent selection of rebloomers is Cordon Bleu Farms (P.O. Box 2033, San Marcos, Calif., 92069, catalogue $1). --M.E.G.
