Rosemead : Imperial Selected Mayor

City Councilman Jay T. Imperial has become mayor for the third time in his 15-year council career.
Also during the council’s annual reorganization last week, Councilwoman Margaret Clark was chosen as mayor pro tem. Both votes were unanimous for one-year terms.
Imperial, who had served as mayor in 1981 and 1986, replaces Dennis McDonald. Clark, who replaces Imperial, was elected March 5 to the council seat of the late Robert DeCocker.
