Queen of Song: For the second year in a row, Diane Warren has been named ASCAP Songwriter of the Year, with the greatest number of award-winning songs during 1990. She’s the first woman to win back to back. Her songs include “Love Will Lead You Back,” “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” and “If I Could Turn Back Time.” At ASCAP’s Pop Awards Dinner Wednesday at the Beverly Hilton, “Another Day in Paradise,” written by Phil Collins, was cited as most performed song of the year.
