A man only hours out of prison was shot to death in the Mount Washington area, police said Friday.
Alvaro Calderon, 26, was killed by a gunshot to the chest as he stood on the upstairs balcony of a friend’s home in the 500 block of North Avenue 50 about 10 p.m. Thursday, Sgt. Dan Dejarnette said. Calderon had just finished serving a five-month term in state prison on a burglary conviction, Dejarnette said.
The motive for the shooting was not determined, but police were investigating the possibility that it had been planned. No one has been arrested.
