Rancho Santiago College will host the grand opening for the new Orange County Small Business Development Center from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday.
The center, which is a cooperative effort between the college, the California Community College’s chancellor’s office and the California Department of Commerce, will provide consulting and referral services to any resident looking for help in starting or managing a small business.
The center, at 901 E. Santa Ana Blvd., will provide new and existing businesses with personal counseling and will assist them in all areas of business and financial planning, and marketing.
Additional services will include workshops and conferences sponsored by the college in conjunction with other organizations within the county.
“The capabilities of the center, combined with the expertise of our talented business staff, will provide a wealth of resources for Orange County’s small businesses in the years ahead,” said Robert D. Jensen, chancellor of the Rancho Santiago Community College District.
