The manager of an East San Diego movie theater was shot during a robbery, police said Wednesday.
Kenneth Wilkinson, 59, was treated at Alvarado Hospital for a gunshot wound to the leg and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Wilkinson was on duty about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Century Twin Cinema, 4370 54th St., when a man came in demanding money, police spokesman Bill Robinson said. It was not known whether Wilkinson gave the man money before he was shot with a handgun, Robinson said.
No patrons of the theater were harmed. Police are still looking for the gunman, who fled on foot, Robinson said.
