COLOMBO, Sri Lanka — Tamil rebels exploded a land mine under a military jeep Wednesday in northwestern Sri Lanka, killing three soldiers and injuring two. Military officials at the Joint Operations Command said the attack took place near Kondachi, a village 140 miles north of Colombo.
