PORT HUENEME : Man Held in Wake of 60 Burglaries

A Port Hueneme man was being held in Ventura County Jail on suspicion of committing about 60 burglaries, authorities said Tuesday.
Jeremiah Dalton, 18, was arrested early Monday after he was found by Officer Paul Gomez near a car whose burglar alarm had sounded, said Sgt. Dennis Fitzgerald.
Items found on Dalton and in his residence have been identified as those stolen in recent burglaries, Fitzgerald said.
Dalton’s arrest came after police placed extra patrols in south Port Hueneme because of the rise in burglaries.
