Chair Still Vacant at Pathe: Italian executive Cesare de Michelis will not become chairman of Pathe Communications Corp., the parent company of MGM-Pathe Communications, as announced. De Michelis said Credit Lyonnais, the bank that has taken control of MGM-Pathe, failed to grant him assurances of management autonomy. In a related development, a British court enjoined former MGM-Pathe Chairman Giancarlo Parretti from interfering in the company’s U.K. operations. Credit Lyonnais removed Parretti and two allies from the MGM board earlier this week.
