San Marino : $8.8-Million Budget OKd

The City Council has unanimously approved an $8.8-million budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1.
The figure represents a 1.9% decrease in this year’s spending, largely owing to the postponement of some capital improvement projects, city officials said.
“We’re real lucky compared with most other cities in the San Gabriel Valley. We don’t enjoy the economic boom cycles that some other cities do, but neither do we have the downside,” said Keith Till, who becomes city manager effective Monday.
